here is a sampling of what i have made within the past 7 days. (atually 4 solid days of sittin at the bead table, life threw in some other stuff for me to do the majority of the other 3 days) as you can see i am a busy little person! once i get started, its like a force of nature, theres not stopping me, the ideas just keep pouring out. these are all for sale at the river market. if you see anything you are interested in, hollar quick and ill sell it to you, otherwise someone at the river market will buy it for sure.

Ive been doing some thinking, now that i am getting better at working with the dreamweaver8 program (what i edit www.beadsbybecky.com with) i am trying to figure out how to make a page on it where i post the items as it make them, like i have done on this site. i also plan to place every picture you see on this site on www.beadsbybecky.com as well. hopefully it will be easier for you to browse through. this site is getting so large, its taking forever for some pc's to load it up.

I'm returning to the River Market

I didnt get near as much accomplished during this short winter as i'd hoped to, but its time, time for me to head back to the river market. I've taken advantage of the break and enjoyed some well needed and well deserved down-time as well as busted my butt to make some really cool new stuff. now comes the hard part. what stuff do i take with me to the river market and what stuff do i put on www.beadsbybecky.com for sale.

Look for my booth at the River Market on Tuesdays and Saturdays 7am to 3pm for the Farmer's Market and Fridays form 8:30 to 3:30 for Art at the Market.

Estimated Return to the River Market

It looks like my estimated date of returning to the River Market has been pushed back. I had hoped to be ready to start back next week. But now its looking like it might be mid to late March. The brand-spankin' new www.beadsbybecky.com is up and runnin'!!!! YEE-HA! I did it! It took me exactly 3 weeks to teach myself DreamWeaver8 and FireWorks and design and build my site! The learning how to do a page better when just edited half of the 30 somthing pages meant that my o.c.d. went into overdrive having to go back and make the WHOLE site better almost every other day. Geeze, that was time consuming!

Drop me a line and tell me what you think, good, bad or other wise re: the new site.

Now its time to figure out how to use my new camcorder and how to make a dvd! that should be fun. Maybe some time this winter ill be able to make some jewelry? that would be nice.

2007 is going to be a very busy year for me. during jan., feb. and march i will be making instructional dvd's. i have 10 planned out so far. these include beadweaving, wire wrapping/ wire sculpting, beaded flowers and just plain and simple bead stringing and jewelry making.

i also plan on making e-books and publishing a few instrucional books.

im sorry i didnt have time to take more pictures and post more stuff, but this has been a busy week for me. lots of other stuff to do besides being able to take the necessary time to focus on my business. for simplicity the swarovski earrings are shown with out the earwires. it only takes a second to add the earwires of your choice ( funky swirl, hammered w/ball, plain jane - no frills, post w/drop).

the jade teardrop set is simply stunning. this set wont last long!

the amazonite necklace does come with a pair of earrings, my bad, i forgot to put them in the picture. the necklace is long, almost 28" long. the bracelet feels so good on! im gonna converse with a few of my rock lovin' friends and see if we cant figure out what the other stone is (the diamond shapes). to me it looks like a composite of amazonite or maybe even larimar. the pale blueish minty green on white is so vivid, the right color for amazonite or for larimar, but im leaning more on the amazonite side. you tell me?

im staying up late tonight so i can get pictures of this weeks new jewelry. all of these will be on display and ready for purchase starting tomorrow morning 11/24/06.

all crystals are swarovski and metals are either sterling or gold-filled.

( this may appear like i made alot of jewelry this week. but this quantity is not unusual for me, i just rarely take the time to take the pictures, edit and post them. )

fancy stud earrings

these earrings are totally cool. they are all studs with sterling clutch backs.

just intime for the holiday season. great for the parties after work or the little something special to wear. all are made with sterling silver and gold-filled. the pale green beads are aventurine, the dark green is malachite. the red is garnet and the purple is a gorgeous deep faceted amethyst.

i have also included 2 freshwater pearl bracelets in this post. i used 22 gauge sterling silver wire, 4mm rice freshwater pearls, 4mm bicone lt. smoky topaz swarovski crystals and bali silver rondelle accents. both are 7 1/4" long with sterling lobster clasps.

i have been sculpting names in sterling silver or gold-filled wire for a few years now. i can do these in pendant form or as pins or broaches. yes, i do take requests. please contact me if you would like to request my skills. these make great christmas or birthday gifts and are greatly appreciated by the individuals with a unique name or a special nickname. swarovski crystals can be added, either birthstone or favorite color. use your imagination.

here are 3 new necklaces that i have made in the last week.

deep, dark, rich, decadent, luxorious, regal, royal. these are some of the words that come to mind while holding this necklace set. the wire is gold-filled and the stones are amethyst and fluorite. i made matching earrings with the funky swirl earring wires. if you prefer the ole stand-by french wires its not a problem to quickly convert.

hows this for cute and whimsical? i got a little arsty-fartsy on this set. i found this adorable turquoise frog while i was in tucson last winter. the blue turquoise of the frog contrasted fantastically with the green turquoise of the donut that i just had to find a way to use them both, and viola! the frog necklace was born. i used sterling wire to secure the frog to the donut. then used green craft wire and pearl seed beads and made some little flowers for the little froggie to smell. this didnt seem quite finished yet, so i used fireline and stitched some fringe. the necklace beads are turquoise rondelles and the green i serpentine which matched the green of the donut marvelously! (refer to the blog entry on april 29th to see this necklace before i added the finishing touches) im sure youll agree with me that this necklace looks better with the fringe.)

yes, i got the turquoise butterfly the same place as the frog. i used 4 lenghts of accuflex and braided them with seedbeads and turquoise nuggets for a fun and casual necklace set.

also new this week are well over 100 sterling anklets and hopefully ill have a bunch of adjustable cord necklaces ready for this weekend if i can ever get off this computer and get to work on them tonight.

rainbow moonstone fairy necklace

this necklace is so totally cool! it turned out so well.

the big focal bead is rainbow moonstone. the fire in it is so intense. also contains genuine opal chips, round rainbow moonstone, mint green chrysoprase, and amazonite. the small wire wrap cages are around super small 2mm amazonite beads. i also included some 6mm multi-faceted swarovski crystal with bali silver bead caps. the necklace is adjustable from 15 3/4" to 18" the earrings are 2 1/2" long. i am making a bracelet to go with this set, but its not finished yet. hollar at me if you want to keep this beauty for yourself and make everyone jealous.

yippie, its not past midnight and i was able to take time and make pics of the jewelry i made today! these earrings are totally cool! i am really pleased how well they turned out. you know me, i get bored easily and am always looking for new styles of jewerly to make. so, as always, most everything you see here or at my booth is one of a kind.

last week i made 50 rings. i now have lots of ladybug rings in all colors and sizes. get yours fast, these wont last long! also made lots of swarovski crystal rings and gemstone rings.

the week before i made lots of swarovski crystal necklaces ( most of which are sold already!) and lots of hematite necklaces ( also most of them are sold already!)

This time of year it is a non-stop battle for me to keep my booth stocked. dont get me wrong, im not complaining, its kinda nice for my jewelry to sell faster than i can make it.

its rainy and i am taking advantage of the slow day of sales at the farmers market today. im sorry to say that i have taken very few pictures in the past couple of weeks. here are just a few.

the brown and black necklace is 19" and is made with pietersite nuggets and black onyx rectangle beads. the teardrop shapped cabachon is one of the many goreous stones i purchased while in tucson. i dont have a clue what kind of stone it is. maybe some one can help me out here.

the brighter pink beads are peruvian opal while the darker pink are a good quailty rhodonite. the large focal bead is rhodonite accented with an amethyst point. the metal beads are sterling silver. 20" long

the leaf is carved green aventurine and the necklace beads are abalone, pale green serpentine, and green aventurine all hand wire wrapped in sterling silver wire. 18 1/2" long

the frog is carved turquoise setting on an olive green turqouise dount. the flowers are shapped with antique pearl seed beads and green colored wire. i plan to add some twig fringe hanging below the frog unless someone purchases this necklace as is. the necklace beads are olive jade serpentine twisted diamonds and blue turquoise rondelles.

I take pride in my work and i create the very best possible products for you.

i use the thickest possible cable to string with. accuflex is a 49 strand stainless steel cable coated with nylon. it is supple, long wearing, kink resistant and it wont stretch or shrink. i also use only sterling silver findings (clasps, crimps and jumprings)

all of my beads are of the very best quality as well. i like to design with lots of natural gemstones (not dyed or treated), fresh water pearls, abalone, and swarovski crystals.

i prefer to wire wrap with sterling silver wire, however i do have some gold-filled wire available. i make sure all of my connections are sound and secure. i check and double check for any rough spots in the wire. ( i dont want my jewelry to scratch you or snag your clothes.

please feel comfortable with the fact that i take every precaution to make sure that your jewelry will not fall apart on you even with the most extreme conditions of continous wear.

Every necklace, bracelet or anklet i have made since 1998 has my signature, logo, hand stamped on the chain tag. look for the 'B'

new twist on earrings

these earrings are so cool. ive been selling them as fast as i can make them the past couple of weeks. i found the idea online recently. i have perfected the curature and the length so as to make them easy to slip on and off. how do you put them on and take them off, you ask? well, simple, you just corkscrew them in and out. it helps to use a mirror the first few times and hopefully youre not in a major hurry to get out the door. i will do my best to get you a better picture posted soon, but for now, these are made with hematite drops.

1) this neclace is purple tinted abalone. i was told that these shells are natural color. i dont know, they appear dyed to me. either way, this is an absolutely gorgeous set. the lilac tinted mother of pearl sticks combined with the lilac fresh water pearls and the abalone shells is an attention getter. i made a bracelet to go with this set. the bracelet can double as a necklace extender.

2) side drilled amethyst tumbled ametyhst points with fresh water pearls on a sturdy but femine wire wrapped chain.

3) oh, how do i love this one, blue peruvian opal and swarovski crystals with an offset sterling silver wire wrapped heart pendant. the chain is sterling silver and swarovski crystals. this necklace will make some lady very happy!

4) how bout that for one days work? thats a bunch of adjustable cord necklaces, huh? these are great for the kids are make a good inexpensive gift.

7) these are a few of the organic/ natural necklaces. these are made with sea shells, wood, and a few gemstones.

this set took me 2 days to complete. would you believe i twisted almost 27 feet of sterling silver wire to make this set? the stone is andalucite, the black cross naturally occurs in the center.

the necklace is adjustable with a hook closure. the bracelet has a toggle clasp. this set along with every thing that i have posted in the past 2 weeks will make their debut to the public tomorrow 2/24 and saturday 2/25 at my booth.

tons and tons of wire wrapping on all those little bitty links. the 2 bracelets can be used as necklace extenders.

im not quite pleased with this necklace yet, its back on the table. maybe today ill be finished with it? who knows. ill post another pic of the finished necklace later.

ok, i think it looks better now. i removed the strand of small tiger eye beads and made 3 chains with tiger eye and turquoise beads.

If you've visited my website lately www.lovethembeads.com you probably noticed that most all of it is not there. there is a trick to it, go to www.lovethembeads.com/earrings.html and you will find the bulk of the website is still there, just the homepage and the links page are screwed up. this is a technical problem that was caused by my hosting company and they have yet to correct their error. needless to say, i am shopping for software and will no longer be using their free website builing software.

i left little rock on AmTrak fri jan. 27. i met some wonderful people while on the train. from san antonio to tucson we had a wonderful time in the lounge car. sandie, bob, kern, jerry, jim and myself had a wonderful time getting to know one another. i hope that we all will maintain contact with each other. while in tucson i stayed at the roadrunner hostel < www.roadrunnerhostel.com > this place is awesome!!! i would stay here again in a heart beat. the most wonderful people work there and the other guests were fantastic! most every one who stayed there was in town for the gem and lapidary shows. we would all gather at the end of the day and show off our purchases from the day. we would compare notes as to which shows had which items and what kind of prices. i have made some awesome purchases and i cant wait to get home and get to work. some of stones that i found are sleeping beauty turquoise, kyanite, sugalite, charolite, larimar as well as some abalone. maybe some more stones that arent coming to mind right now.

tonight is my last night at the hostel. i will be heading towards arkansas on the amtrak late tomorrow night.

no matter how late i hit little rock on friday night, i will be setting up my booth on saturday feb. 4th.

winter hours

i have been trying to update my winter hours on www.lovethembeads.com for over a week now, and so far, no luck. anyway, i will set up my booth most fridays and saturdays thru the remainder of the winter. i will not, however be at the river market, www.rivermarket.info on friday 01/27/06 or saturday 01/28/06 or friday 02/03/06. during this time i will be taking amtrak to tucson, az in order to attend on of the hugest bead conventions. i am so excited. shoot, i cant even stand to be around myself

for you valentine's day shoppers, i will be at my booth saturday 02/04, friday 02/10, saturday 02/11 and tuesday 02/14 (my birthday ) it is entirely possible that i might set up on monday 02/13, but dont hold me to it, lol

favorite wire wrap necklaces

these are two of my favorite wire wrap necklaces. the fairy necklace set was sold last week. i was sad to see it go but happy that its going to a good, loving neck.

i still have the larger loop necklace set, but i dont know how much longer. there are quite a few ladies that will be dissapointed that they missed out on owning what i consider to be my best work, ever.
